Choosing Your Florida All Inclusive Resorts Vacation

The sheer volume of choice makes choosing Florida All Inclusive difficult. So how do you pick the right hotel? You can look at the location or reviews – two of many ways to pick. Here are five tips to help you along.

When it comes to choosing Florida All Inclusive Resorts, one thing to consider is that availability, or lack of, can affect the price that you have to pay. If a big event or convention is in town, resorts in the surrounding area tend to be packed out. And when demand for vacations is high, resorts put the price of their vacations up, especially during holidays and summer vacation time. On the other side though, cheaper vacations can be found off-peak.

Once you have a clear idea of pricing and availability, you can compare the resorts that tick the box. For your shortlist of Florida All Inclusive resorts, check their websites and the facilities that they have. Making direct comparisons you can then weigh up Florida resorts against each other. Also consider some facilities are worth more than others. Satellite TV for example, has to be worth more than a trouser press! Depending on your lifestyle, most people would prefer a mini bar in their room to say, direct access to a garden. Personal preference is king! so pick the right resort to suit your requirements.

The most important part of all inclusive vacations for me is good staff. Ringing the resort reception is a good test. While you are on the phone, you can learn about the facilities, and the staff. And also, a happy polite staff member is bound to make your stay more pleasurable, than someone that is grumpy.

The location of your chosen resort is most important. After all, why would you be booking a resort in the first place? Try and find a resort near to the activities and places you want to visit, Disney World in Orlando for example, as this will make things so much easier. The website for each resort should have a map showing all the visitor attractions, theme parks and restaurants in the surrounding area.

Florida All Inclusive resort reviews say a lot about the accomodation. Website review sites can be found aplenty via Google and at All Inclusive Vacations in Florida. You might also find that some resorts host their own guestbook on their website. Asking friends if they have stayed in the area, particularly if you are in business is always a good idea. Although do take into consideration that one person’s dream vacation may be anothers nightmare. Some people can be very difficult to please.

Historic Places Near Miami All Inclusive Resorts In Florida

Miami is a fantastic destination for your All Inclusive Resorts In Florida vacation for all history and sight seeing lovers. There are 168 National Historic Landmarks registered in and around the city to explore.

Miami may be a relatively young city for its size compared to some other major North American cities, but there are still important elements of history to be seen there. Here are 3 examples of historic places from the National Historic Landmarks list to visit during your Miami all inclusive resorts in Florida vacation.

1. The impressive 17 storey Freedom Tower in Miami built in 1925 was the headquarters of the Miami Daily News and the Metropolis newspapers. The architecture of the building is an example of the Mediterranean Revival style, and was inspired by the Giralda Tower in Seville, Spain. It was built with a powerful lamp in the dome at the top which shone out over Miami Bay like a lighthouse for ships.

In the late 1950′s the building was occupied by the US government to process refugees from the Cuba crisis before being abandoned and falling into disrepair. The building was rescued in 1997 by the Cuban American Society and totally restored using the original plans.

Today it stands as a monument to the struggles of the Cuban American people and houses a fascinating museum of life in Cuba with an emphasis on the times before Castro and events during the Castro era and the plight of the refugees that he drove out. The building hosts a library with the largest collection of books on this subject. It is also the headquarters of the Cuban American National Foundation.

Your visit to the Freedom Tower is not complete until you go to the rooftop terrace which overlooks Downtown Miami, the panoramic Miami Bay and the Performing Arts Center.

2. The Miami Circle at Brickell Point Site is a perfect 38 foot circle of limestone bedrock lying directly in the center of what is now downtown Miami. The archaeologists discovered 600 post holes cut into the limestone on a coastal spit of land. It  pre-dates other known permanent settlements on the East Coast.

It was only deemed a National Historic Landmark in 2009 when it was identified that it is the only known prehistoric permanent structure cut into bedrock in the US. It is believed to have been built over 2000 years ago by the Tequesta Indians. The site is preserved as part of the Historical Museum of Southern Florida.

3. Ferdinand Magellan Railcar is a Pullman Company observation car named after the Portuguese explorer. The rail car was built in 1927 as one of six private cars for Abraham Lincoln, but was taken out of use during World War II because Franklin D. Roosevelt required a specially equipped rail car.

The car’s use by American presidents, during historical events meets the criteria for the NRHP in multiple ways. The rail car was added to the NRHP in 1985 because it served as the Presidential Rail Car from 1943 and 1958. The Gold Coast Railroad Museum in Miami-Dade County purchased the car in 1959, and has refurbished the car so it can be displayed in its original condition.

Make sure that you visit some of the sites listed in the National Register of Historic Places when on your Miami all inclusive resorts vacation. The National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) is an official list of buildings, structures, sites and objects considered by the US government as worthy of preservation for their historical significance.

There are four points of criteria for being included on the register, one of which must be met. If the item is tied to an event, it must have made a contribution to a key pattern in American history. If the item is associated with a person, they must be of historical significance. In regards to design and construction, the item must have unique characteristics, have immense artistic value or be the work of a master. The fourth condition is in the potential for providing historical information, or if the item has already provided information on historical events.

According to the NRHP there are 168 properties in the Miami-Dade County meeting the criteria for being placed on the register, including five National Historic Landmarks and all of them are well worth visiting when staying at all inclusive resorts in Florida.
